Why I started this business
Throughout my career, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I wanted to do. If you check out my LinkedIn profile (or click here), you would be surprised by how many different titles I have held: I started my career in Japan as an FX trader, and my most recent job is Sales Director at TikTok. I am a strong believer in learning by doing, so I have no regret about the many “wrong” path I’ve taken in the past (or maybe just a little – I wish someone could have helped me clarify my goals much earlier)
And it’s also throughout that journey, I have acquired a good sense of “How to sell myself” during the interviews even though I don‘t have direct work experience, because I’ve learned how to sell myself based on my “Skill & Competency,” instead of my “Job Title.” It is a more and more important skill that everyone who wants to accelerate their career should learn, because with today’s fast-changing job environment, there will be fewer jobs that are exactly the same as what you’ve been doing. We all need to adopt this “Skill & Competency” approach to build our portfolio of transferable skills.

Step 1: Book a free consultation session
Click the button below to book a free 25 min consultation session. Our team will be in contact with you as soon as possible to confirm your reservation. We will share with you a pre-registration form to understand your situation better, so that we can propose the best learning plan for you during the consultation session
Step 2: Start booking your sessions
If you agree that Paul’s Career Coaching is the right fit for you, congratulations! You will receive a free English interview preparation guide prepared by our experienced hiring managers. We will send you payment information (we use PayPal and Stripe). After confirmation of payment, you will receive an email instructing you how to book your sessions. We kindly ask you to book all your sessions within the next 3 months to ensure a better learning experience (please consult with us if you need to book beyond 3 months)
Step 3: Start your sessions!
For each session, your coach will share with you pre-assignment. There will also be assignments for you to work on after each session

- Q: How is the lesson conducted?
- A: Online, we will use Zoom or Google Meet
- Q: I am not confident speaking in English, would I still benefit if I join the sessions?
- A: Yes, acing English interview is not just about speaking fluent English, but it’s about understanding yourself and being able to show your true self during the interview using simple English. We have many students who could not speak a word of English and still managed to achieve impressive results during English interviews
- Q: Is it possible to reschedule?
- A: Yes, but please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, it will be counted as one session conducted
- Q: What if I have other questions that are not answered here?
